R350, R370 and R520 Grant Dates 2026: Full Schedule Explained…

Beneficiaries of social security grant in South Africa are greatly dependent on timely payments to obtain a substantial synchronizability in their economic activities. The main grant categories for 2026 include a fixed payment schedule for permanent social grants and a flexible one for the Social Relief of Distress Grant (with RS-D, which is otherwise known as the previously instituted R350 grant, now raised to R370 a month).

It is therefore necessary that beneficiaries of these payments should have an idea as to how many are processed and, therefore, to schedule the availability of their necessaries such as groceries, transport, utilities, schooling, etc.

Permanent Grant Payment Schedule

As of 2026, the socially granted payouts have the whole program fixed and follow a standard monthly roster. Old Age Grants, which financially support people aged 60 and older in SA, have fixed dates starting from Tuesday, 6 January 2026. The other date for the first month of the year is Tuesday, 3 February 2026. On behalf of those living with disabilities, the SRD Grants, on other hand, are scheduled for payment on Wednesday, 7 January 2026, and again on Wednesday, 4 February 2026.

Regularly, Culturally linked children’s grants-Child Support Grant, Foster Child Grant, and Care Dependency Grant -are paid always on Thursday, 8 January 2026 and again on Thursday, 5 February 2026. With the fixed dates into the primary week of any given month, families can organize their monthly spending nicely.

SRD R370 Payout Schedule

Hand in an SRD which used to be called R350, the scheme could be regarded as different from permanent grants mostly because their payment dates have not been scheduled for uniform dates. Instead, once a client applies and is approved at the end of settings, payment is received within the processing time frame at the end of each month rather that on a fixed date. For January 2026, expect SRD R370 payments to be between Tuesday, 27 January and Saturday, 31 January 2026.

Similarly, SRD payments for February 2026 will be within a certain date toward the end of the month after all applications have been processed and confirmed. It is, however, very important that recipients verify online their individual SRD status so that they can confirm the date of the payment, which essentially depends on the timing of their approval.

Clarifying the R520 Amount

The R520 does not represent an officially designated sum and schedule issued by SASSA as of 2026. Instead, beneficiaries may receive amounts close to R520 because of consolidated benefits from more than one grant in the same month or on an arrear or top-up basis. Payments may rightly accumulate into sums considerably greater than the amount for each individual grant under certain circumstances, where a beneficiary is receiving two types of grants concurrently.

Staying Current with Payment Dates

Because the SRD pays different dates, and the permanent grants have set dates, the beneficiary should call the official SASSA status check by adding his/her Identity document number and cellphone number, if any. How will one obtain the exact payment dates each month for his or her money to be paid to him or her each month?
